Privacy Policy

Overview

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how myarchive.in, operated by Rashmi, collects, uses, stores and protects your personal information when you access our website and services.

By using our platform, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable Indian laws.

Ownership & licence

Every lesson and every ebook sold on myarchive.in is original work written, filmed and produced by Rashmi. Nothing here is scraped, resold, or licensed from anyone else, and no third party is affiliated with, endorses or sponsors this platform. Your purchase grants a personal, non-transferable licence to watch, read and keep the course; it does not transfer copyright, and no part of it may be redistributed, resold or uploaded elsewhere.

1. Information we collect

At checkout we ask for three things: your name, your email address and your mobile number. All three are required — the email address is how your course is delivered, and the gateway requires a name and phone number to process a payment.

When you start a checkout we also record your IP address and user-agent string, which your browser sends with every request, the time you accepted our Terms, Refund Policy and Privacy Policy, and, where your browser passes them to our server, the Meta identifiers described in section 4. This record is kept whether or not the payment is completed. We do not ask for or store your date of birth or postal address.

Checkout is for buyers aged 18 or over, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone younger. If you believe a child has given us their details, write to us and we will erase them.

From our payment gateway we receive the status of your payment, its reference number, the amount and the type of payment method used, such as UPI or card. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details. Those are collected directly by our payment gateway on their own systems and never reach our servers.

If we send you a reminder about an unfinished checkout (section 5), we record when it was sent and whether you unsubscribed.

2. How we use your information

  • To take your payment and issue your order.
  • To show you the access link to the course you bought and email it to you.
  • To answer your support requests.
  • To remind you about a checkout you started but did not complete (see section 5).
  • To measure our advertising, and to show our ads again to people who started a checkout but did not buy (see section 4).
  • To detect and prevent fraudulent or duplicate payments.

If a checkout is started with an email address that has already bought the course, checkout says that the address already has access and, rather than taking a second payment, re-sends the access email to that address, at most once every 10 minutes and three times a day.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. It reaches the following processors, each for a stated purpose:

  • Cashfree Payments India Pvt. Ltd. — receives your name, email and mobile number in order to process your payment. Cashfree is a PCI-DSS compliant payment aggregator authorised by the Reserve Bank of India.
  • Meta Platforms, Inc. — receives a one-way SHA-256 hash of your email address and mobile number, together with your IP address, user-agent, the fbp and fbc identifiers where available, and the order value, currency and reference. This is used to measure which advertising led to a checkout or a sale, and to show our ads again to people who did not complete a purchase. Hashing means Meta does not receive your email address or number in readable form. Section 4 explains when this is sent.
  • Google LLC (Google Fonts) — the typefaces on this site load from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and user-agent when a page loads them.
  • Our email provider — transmits the delivery, reminder and support messages we send you.
  • Our hosting and media providers — store the database record of your order and serve the lessons and ebooks.

Data may additionally be disclosed to a public authority where we are legally required to do so. Meta and Google process data outside India.

4. Advertising measurement and retargeting

This site loads the Meta Pixel, which tells Meta when you view a page, view the course, start a checkout and complete a purchase. It stores two Meta identifiers in cookies and sends them with those events: fbp (cookie _fbp), which identifies your browser, and fbc (cookie _fbc), set when you arrive from a link on Facebook or Instagram to record that click.

Our server also sends three events to Meta’s Conversions API: checkout started, when you submit your details at checkout; payment failed, when a payment attempt fails or expires; and purchase, when payment is confirmed. What each event carries is set out in section 3.

We use these events to see which advertisements lead to a sale, and to show our advertisements again on Meta’s services to people who started a checkout, or whose payment failed, but who have not bought (retargeting).

If you would rather not be measured this way, you can block the Pixel with any content blocker, or adjust your ad preferences in your Meta account. Blocking the Pixel stops its browser events and cookies, but not the server events above, which are sent when you check out. Blocking it does not affect your purchase, your delivery, or any part of this site.

5. Reminders about an unfinished checkout

If you start a checkout and do not complete payment, we may email you a reminder at the address you entered, with a link back to checkout. We may send a reminder ourselves, at any time, or automatically: when automatic reminders are switched on, they are sent only between about 90 minutes and 72 hours after the checkout was started, and never to an email address that has already completed a purchase.

Every reminder contains an unsubscribe link, valid for 30 days, which opens a page asking you to confirm. You can also ask us to unsubscribe you by email or phone at any time. Once you unsubscribe, no further reminders are sent about that checkout, any other unpaid checkout with the same email address, or any later checkout you start with it.

6. How long we keep it

Records of paid orders — including your name, email, mobile number, IP address and the payment and consent details in section 1 — are kept for at least eight years. Indian income-tax and GST record-keeping rules require six; we keep order records for eight so that a payment can still be traced and evidenced for the whole period a dispute over it could be raised. They are not deleted automatically when that period ends; you can ask us to erase them then (section 9).

Records of checkouts that were never paid hold the same contact and device details. When you start a new checkout with the same email address, your earlier attempts that failed, expired or never reached the payment page, and that were never sent a reminder, are deleted automatically. On any other unpaid checkout, your name, mobile number, IP address, user-agent and Meta identifiers are erased once 90 days have passed since the checkout was started, or later, once our payment gateway confirms that checkout’s payment is closed. Your email address is erased with them unless you unsubscribed from reminders; an unsubscribed address is kept only so that we can go on honouring your opt-out. Records of refunded orders, and of a payment that was taken but held for review, are kept as paid-order records are. You can ask us to erase an unpaid record sooner (section 9).

Data already sent to Cashfree, Meta or Google is kept under their own retention policies.

7. Data security

The site is served over HTTPS, payment data never touches our servers, and administrative access requires a password-protected account. No online transmission can be guaranteed completely secure, but we do not retain the categories of buyer data that would make a breach most damaging — there are no buyer passwords, card numbers or identity documents in our records.

8. Cookies

We set no cookies of our own on visitors and there is no account to log in to. The Meta Pixel described in section 4 sets its own cookies, _fbp and _fbc, for advertising measurement; blocking them affects nothing on this site.

9. Your rights under the DPDP Act 2023

As a Data Principal under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to confirm what data we hold about you, correct or complete it, erase it where we are not required to keep it, or object to the advertising measurement described in section 4, which you can also block yourself as set out there. You may also nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf.

Write to the address in section 10 and we will respond within 30 days. Note that we are obliged to retain records of paid orders for the tax period stated in section 6 even after an erasure request, and that an objection does not affect processing already carried out. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your complaint, you may register a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.

10. Grievance Officer

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and the DPDP Act, 2023, the Grievance Officer for this platform is:

Rashmi
Grievance Officer, myarchive.in

Complaints are acknowledged within 48 hours and resolved within 30 days of receipt.

11. Updates to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The date at the top of this page is when it last changed. Continued use of the platform after a change means you accept the revised policy.
